The Back Room

The purpose is to create a meeting place for like minded people to share in and assist the development for the masses.
This meeting place will consist of seasoned trainers, coaches, and leaders. It will also serve as an incubator of new and upcoming talents.

The Definition
Back Room meetings will support the 7 higher callings of People Are Ready.

“Imagine this: thousands of Back Room Meetings happing simultaneously all over the world at the same time, speaking on the same subject, all contributing toward the betterment of the earth.”

The Back Room meetings would promote the speakers, and their materials.It will be critical for the speakers to be videoed for promoting. Promotional venues will be going on Youtube.com, blogs, and other websites, developed by the speaker.

Why are we in The Back Room?
For many centuries, when every there was a revolutionary thought, that would rise up. It usually came out of discussions from passionate people that would be talking in the back rooms of business, homes, and work places. These meeting usually started out of fear of persecution, and even torture. Though once the masses assembled, then the meetings would come out in public, at which point there would be major changes, and only when People Are Ready will there be a change. And so we in The Back Room believe; a change is coming, and We the People Are Ready.

Who will come?

The Back Room meetings are designed to attract the masses, from all over the world. The reason for the 7 Freedoms is that we believe that someone will connect to at least one of the Freedoms. The purpose is that once someone connects to one of the freedoms, that they will be compelled to change their life, by helping themselves first than helping others. This will create the momentum of the Millions Helping Billions.

Another plan I have is World Peace through Formal Introductions. The idea is that everyone in the world would be required to meet everyone else in the world, formally, at least once. You’d have to look the person in the eye, shake hands, repeat their name, and try to remember one outstanding physical characteristic. My theory is, if you knew everyone in the world personally, you’d be less inclined to fight them in a war: ‘Who??? The Malaysians??? Are you kidding??? I know those people!!!’”

Gruber's Grinder a Bike Trail
Paul Gary Gruber was born on December 7, 1959 in the Wolverine State of Michigan. Once a hard core mountain bike rider and racer, he took second place with Tailwind Enterprises and the MMBA Points Series. During 1996-1997, he developed a mountain racing promotion company called Piranha Production. He was instrumental in developing a race venue that included bike races at the Big M and Owasippi trails. Piranha Productions also had the first downhill racing event at Mt. Holly Ski Resort in Michigan. During that time, Paul served as Vice-President of the Mt. Holly chapter.
Paul's major accomplishment was that he was able , almost single-handedly, to map off, design, develop and build a mountain bike path at Hold Ridge Lake State Park, in Southwest Michigan. The very technical trail measures 15.6 miles long. It is a tight, twisty, single track making it a challenging adventure for any biker.
When Paul was designing the trail, he got inspiration from other riders and rider's magazines that covered the northwest trails. He wanted to create a true mountain bike trail, not just a linier trail for leisurely rides. Much controversy surrounded the building of the trail and he received little support from the local and state MMBA.
Despite the lack of support, Paul spent 6-7 days a week from sunup till sundown working with nothing more than a fire fighting tool, a pair of lobbing shears and once a week at most, a chain saw. The chain saw was not used to clear but to assist in building ramps to go over fallen trees.
During the early stages, there was an occasional volunteer. However, when they saw the complexity and size of the project, coupled with the sweltering summer heat, they rapidly disappeared. It wasn't until about the 12 th mile that Bob came out to lend a hand, probably logging 100-120 hours but leaving before completion to be with his wife as she battled cancer. She passed on before the trail was completed.
Another volunteer named Mark Sibel was there during the final completion of the last mile. The last day of working on the trail, Paul was quoted to say, "There should be bands playing and the sound of trumpets," but there wasn't. It was a gloomy, gray, fall day with a chill in the air. Just as Paul and Mark started to leave it began to drizzle. Not a very fitting end for such a major altruistic achievement. Paul Gruber had logged over 1800 man hours in a one year period and spent thousands of dollars building a mountain bike trail which he named "Gruber's Grinder," for the many cuts, broken bones and lost riders. "Gruber's Grinder" is one man's dream and a memorial that will last years after he is gone.

Element one of a Successful Team:
1) Communication

As we move forward it is critical that we have effective and concise communication.
Our communication will need to be scrutinized by all those involved, as to hold us to the highest level professionalism.
That being said, we need to be able to give, as well as to receive criticism. So please let me know if I misspell, mispronounce, or misuse any and all verbiage in theses posting.

How can you become polished if you can’t handle the rubs?

Wednesday September 13th at 8:00pm we had our first People Are Ready phone conference.

Paul started on the Purpose of why a board of directors.
He went to a presentation on a view of the future, and the exciting times that we’re in.
Also went into our beliefs of what is best for the Coaching Industry, on how coaches would benefit from a uniformed look and business plan.
That coaches and clients would greatly benefit from an assessment (profile) test.
What was agreed on by the Board of Directors:
1) Conference calls at the same time, every month for 90 days, then move into a weekly call.
2) That the first stage of People Are Ready will be launched in 90 days.
3) That there will be a thread of communication through a weblog, “Blog”

The five key elements of a successful Team:

1. Communication, crystal clear understanding of what is expected of them.
2. Creativity, using imagination is the secret to this part, no normality.
3. Connectivity, being able to connect with anyone on any thought.
4. Fearless, allowing you’re self to make mistakes, for the purpose of learning permitted.
5. Ego Free, the human ego is a cruel animal; it will lead you into a false sense of security, and hold you back from being all that you can be.
